Tan Tips!


Any pampering to prepare your skin should be completed 24 hours in advance. This includes waxing, shaving, sugaring, hair appointments, manicures and pedicures.


Lightly exfoliate your body with a dry brush, exfoliating gloves, or loofah before your spray tanning session to remove any lotion, perfume, oils, etc from the skin


For optimal results, arrive to your appointment with clean and dry skin. Please do not use lotions, deodorants, makeup or perfumes prior to your spray tan. Don’t have time for a shower? We have an “Exfoliating Mitt” ($10) available to prep you for your spray tan.


We recommend bringing a swimsuit or undergarment that you want to tan in, preferably black, if you are not comfortable spray tanning nude. We do offer disposable undergarments and bralettes ($1) for purchase as well.


Wear dark, lose-fitting clothing and lightweight flipflops after your session. This will let the tan set and will enhance tan results. Avoid clothes with elastic waists or bust lines and clingy clothing such as jeans, shorts, tube tops, bras or spandex.


During the development process of your tan please make sure to avoid getting wet and touching your spray tan with your hands. Water or liquid will strip the spray tan where it lands on the skin and touching the tan with your hands will leave your fingers with dark tanning marks. Be careful sitting on light colored furniture as the spray tan can come off on surfaces. For best results, book your spray tanning appointment in the evening once you have finished with errands and chores. This way you can sleep in your tan and will have less risk of possible issues during development. (10-12 hours for normal tan solution & 4 hours for Express solution)


For long lasting results, shower with no soap for the first shower. Avoid using loofahs and washcloths when showering with a spray tan until you are ready to scrub off.


Keep your skin primed and in healthy condition by moisturizing 2 to 3 times a day especially after showering or getting out of water. For the first 24 hours avoid sweating. During your tan life, saunas, pools, hot tubs, water soaking and any repeated activity that causes excessive perspiration will fade your results much quicker.
